Ella Zhang Xuewei, a fine skilled bilingual stage and screen actress who believes that acting is part of an exciting adventure in life as well as a journey for self-discovery. This underpins her philosophy in performing arts: to cherish every opportunity and to make the best of oneself for the greater good. Four years of staying in Europe in her early childhood gave her many opportunities to see the world through different perspectives.
张雪薇是一名优秀的双语戏剧和荧幕演员，她深信表演是人生精彩旅途不可或缺的一部分亦是发掘自我的重要过程。她的表演哲理是努力珍惜每次机会并且全力以赴。
孩童时期在欧洲度过的四年时光给了她开眼看世界的优势条件。
Past Experiences 过往的经历
Ella’s acting skills are evident in the numerous short films and various theatre productions she has acted in. In 2012 she collaborated with LaSalle College of Arts The Puttnam Film School Double Happiness which she played as the leading actress screened at short film unit in The 32nd Munich International Festival of Film School, 6th Kustendorf Film Festival, and XXXII VGIK International Student Film Festival.
She successfully challenged and portrayed Vladimir in Waiting for Godot, Christine from After Miss Julie and Catherine from Proof during her degree course on stage.
Ella在众多参演的戏剧作品和微电影作品中均展现扎实的表演功底。2012年她主演的拉萨尔国际艺术学院普特南电影学院专科毕业作品《双喜》入围“第32届慕尼黑国际学生电影节”，“第6届塞尔维亚电影节”，“第6届俄罗斯州立摄影大学国际学生电影节”她曾在本科学习期间成功地挑战和诠释了《等待戈多》里的弗拉基米尔，《朱莉小姐之后》里的克里斯汀以及《求证》里面的凯瑟琳。
Her self-directed children Mandarin debut The Ugly Duckling in 2015 marks her new career as a young director. She continued to self-direct another English original theatre production “Alibaby & The Thieves” in 2016 and participated as a director assistant for the commercial play “Wings of the Dreams” produced by Shenzhen Hualei International Culture & Arts Company at the end of 2017.
张雪薇在2015年自导自演的华语儿童音乐剧《丑小鸭》大获成功同时也标志着她作为青年导演的新事业的开端。她在2016年继续自导自演了原创英语儿童剧《阿里宝贝和大盗》并在2017年底作为导演助理参与中国深圳华蕾国际大型儿童剧《梦的翅膀》。
She is also actively involved in film related events, such as attending the 25th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival in Tangshan, China and hosting the first China Film Week in Mumbai, 2016. She also worked as an assistant for guest filmmakers and an interpreter for the 10th European Union Film Festival in Shanghai, 2017.
Ella continues to deepen her passion for performing arts through her constant involvement in arts related activities that captures moments reflecting the human spirit and emotion.
与此同时她也积极参与电影相关活动，比如在2016年参加在中国唐山举办的第25届金鸡百花电影节，主持在印度孟买举办的首届中国电影周等。她亦作为嘉宾电影人助理和翻译参加了2017年在上海举办的第十届欧盟电影展。
